BMW Group has chosen Vredestein tyres as the original equipment (OE) for the new Mini Cooper variants in Europe. The selection includes Vredestein’s summer, all-season, and winter tyres. Apollo Tyres Ltd is supplying these tyres, manufactured in Europe, to BMW Group’s Mini production facility in Oxford, UK.
This collaboration builds on a previous agreement made last year, where Apollo Tyres Ltd began supplying the Vredestein Ultrac for BMW models such as the X1, X2, and 5 Series (225/55 R18 102Y XL). They also extended this deal to include variants of the X1 (205/65 R17 100Y XL) and added the Ultrac in different sizes for the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer.
Tyre Range
The range of tyres includes the Vredestein Ultrac in size 215/40 R 18 89Y XL for the summer fitment. For the all-season tyre option, the Mini Cooper will be equipped with the Vredestein Quatrac Pro in size 215/45 R 17 91H XL. In markets requiring winter tyres, the Mini Cooper will come with the Vredestein Wintrac Pro in size 195/50 R 17 89H XL.
Supporting Mini customers further, Ultrac, Quatrac Pro, and Wintrac Pro tyres will also be available in the replacement market through BMW Group’s franchised dealers.

The Vredestein Ultrac summer tyre is highlighted for its exceptional wet grip performance, which is certified with an ‘A’ EU tyre label rating. It also features optimised sidewall construction and an increased flex zone, ensuring driving comfort and a quiet ride at high speeds.
The Vredestein Wintrac Pro is designed for performance in winter conditions. It features the ‘Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake’ symbol, certifying its suitability for harsh weather. The tyre has an EU label rating of ‘B’ for wet grip and is equipped with angled centre grooves and shoulder sipes to enhance grip and traction on snow.
The Vredestein Quatrac Pro is noted for being an ultra-high-performance all-season tyre, offering excellent handling and short braking distances under various conditions. Designed for high-performance vehicles, this tyre has won several independent test awards in leading European publications, being praised for its best-in-class handling and wet performance.
