JSW MG Motor India saw a significant sales increase in January 2025, driven by strong electric vehicle (EV) performance and plans for new model launches. The company sold 4,455 units, a 256% year-over-year jump, with EVs making up over 70% of sales.
This growth highlights the increasing popularity of MG’s electric models like the Windsor, Comet, and ZS EV. The company is preparing to expand its new energy vehicle (NEV) lineup with two new models, the MG Cyberster and MG M9, under its MG Select luxury brand.

These new models will be launched under the MG Select luxury brand channel. The company’s existing EV offerings, the MG Windsor, Comet, and ZS EV, contributed over 70% to the total sales in January. This indicates a growing preference among customers for the company’s electric vehicles.
“With a strong focus on innovation and sustainable mobility, JSW MG Motor India is gearing up to expand its NEV portfolio by launching two new offerings in the coming months: the MG Cyberster and MG M9, under its luxury
brand channel – MG Select,” the company stated.
