JSW MG Motor India has launched MG Select, a new luxury brand channel, and teased the upcoming MG Cyberster roadster. The Cyberster, tuned by former F1 engineer Marco Fainello, aims to blend performance and retro aesthetics inspired by the MG B Roadster. Features
The MG Cyberster boasts a dual motor powertrain producing 510 PS and 725 Nm of torque. This setup is designed to provide rapid acceleration and dynamic driving. The motors feature 8-layer flat wire winding and waterfall oil cooling for enhanced performance, efficiency, and reliability at high operating temperatures.
The roadster utilises a front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, coupled with a 50:50 weight distribution for improved traction and stability. Its Kammback design, with a truncated rear roofline, enhances aerodynamics and reduces body roll.
Design
The MG Cyberster features electric scissor doors, a first for India, equipped with dual radar sensors for sideways and upward protection. An anti-pinch bounce-back feature adds further safety during door closure.
MG Select aims to provide curated experiences focused on innovation and sustainability. It draws upon the heritage of Morris Garages, combining environmentally conscious mobility with classic design.
