Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) will unveil its electric SUV, the e Vitara , at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The company aims to transform electric mobility in India with this global model, manufactured in India and recently unveiled in Milan, Italy. Maruti Suzuki is also focusing on building a comprehensive EV ecosystem to support wider adoption.
The e Vitara , a production-ready electric SUV, signifies Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to sustainable mobility and innovation. The company plans to address the challenge of charging infrastructure by offering a network of charging solutions. This includes home charging and a network of fast chargers at dealerships and service centers.

Maruti Suzuki on India’s EV charging network
Maruti Suzuki recognises the lack of accessible charging as a major obstacle to EV adoption. The company’s strategy involves creating a comprehensive EV ecosystem to support the e Vitara launch.
“A critical barrier to the adoption of EVs is the lack of accessible charging. To tackle this issue, we are committed to introduce a reliable and comprehensive EV ecosystem alongside the e Vitara . This will include home charging solutions as well as a nationwide network of fast chargers available at Maruti Suzuki dealerships and service touchpoints. Our goal is to make EVs accessible, convenient, and appealing to a broader set of customers, and this is exactly what we have set out to achieve with the e Vitara,” he added.

The e Vitara is based on the “Emotional Versatile Cruiser” concept. The vehicle combines advanced technology with a modern design. Maruti Suzuki intends to meet evolving market demands and customer needs with this new offering. The e Vitara is expected to introduce advanced EV performance to the Indian automotive market.
